Norwegian multi-channel retailer Spar Kjøp has chosen RELEX’s solution to manage and optimise replenishment of its stores and central warehouse. The company, celebrating its 50th birthday this year, offers its customers a wide assortment, including clothing, cosmetics, as well as products for the home and garden.
Spar Kjøp had already implemented automated store replenishment using the min-max order logic available their ERP system, Dynamics AX. “Manual control of min-max parameters for a combination of tens of stores and thousands of products, proved impossible, especially since demand for our products is subject to both seasonal and regional variation,” explains Terje Nymark Olsen, IT Manager at Spar Kjøp. ”To attain better shelf availability and improved inventory turnover, we needed a software solution that would enable us to work with demand forecasts and inventory control parameters automatically optimised for each store and product,” he concludes.

The next steps are to finalise the specification and integration work by the end of Q3 2012 and to subsequently pilot and roll-out RELEX’s forecasting and replenishment solution in synch with the implementation of Spar Kjøp’s new POS system.
