New white paper on quantitative forecasting

RELEX’s Development Director Johanna Småros has written a white paper on quantitative forecasting: “Less work, better forecasts: More efficient and accurate demand forecasting with quantitative forecasting tools!”

“Both the accuracy and the efficiency of forecasting can be improved with the aid of quantitative forecasting models. However, as it is often assumed that mathematical forecasting methods are very complicated and difficult to use, companies have hesitated in taking advantage of the exciting opportunities presented by modern quantitative forecasting tools. In this paper, I try to explain what quantitative forecasting is all about, when it should be used, and how it can be effectively combined with more traditional forecasting based on expert judgment. In addition, I give examples of some of the benefits our customers have attained through quantitative forecasting,” Johanna comments.
